Growing instructions:

Seed germination can be improved by prior soaking in water or diluted gibberellic acid, although pre-swelling in water is usually quite sufficient.

These seeds are dark germinators, which is why they need to be covered thinly with soil if you want them to germinate. When doing this, the “wings” of the seeds can be stuck into the soil looking upwards, so that the actual seed is in the soil and the wings are vertically upwards.

Fill the pots with soil, spray with water, place the seeds on the soil (wings vertically upwards), cover with soil and spray with water. It is best to cover the pots with plastic foil and aerate them daily or keep the soil moist. Otherwise, the pots can also be placed in suitable indoor greenhouses until the seeds have germinated and the seedlings are a few centimetres tall. It is important to ensure a supply of fresh air at least once a day to prevent and avoid mould.

After germination of the seeds, the seedlings can be slowly accustomed to drier indoor air or fresh air outdoors after a few weeks.

Requires at least partial shade to sunny outdoors (best somewhat protected from direct midday sun), plenty of water and good fertilization! The plants need a climbing aid (trellis, trellis, or similar).

We use high quality plant soil with sufficient perlite, clay granulate and/or volcanic stone granulate for the plants.

Most helpfull

This particular strain was one I would (not) highly recommend. It’s alright as far as saying it bein a classic lightweight sativa. Not highly potent though, Yet it does give you a sense of concentration sense of competition and while performing whatever task .

Dominic X. Erickson from Lithgow

Beautiful sativa, even has a slight chocolatey aroma! Instantly rushes to the head for a clear, focused, cerebral high. Buds are nice and evenly sized, pale blue-green, and a generous dusting of dark red hairs. Great bag appeal! It’s a cross of Chocolope and Thunderf*ck. A little bit harsh on the throat, but overall a very lovely sativa, great for day-time use.

«Prince of Thunder» – Organic Watermelon Seeds

Ukrainian Heirloom Watermelon «Prince of Thunder»

In cool climates, watermelon seeds should be started indoors, but no sooner than a month before transplanting; plant three seeds per peat pot, 1/4" deep. Provide heat to keep the soil at least 80-85 degrees F. Cut off all but the strongest seedling as soon as true leaves appear, and transplant about a week after frost; put two or three plants in each hill with a 6-8' space in all directions.

Gardeners in warm climates will be able to direct sow watermelons as soon as the soil temperature reaches at least 75 degrees F, planting six seeds per hill with 6-8' of space in all directions. Thin to the strongest two or three plants as soon as the seedlings appear. Watermelons should be planted in full sun and rich, loose soil. Young seedlings may benefit from black plastic to warm up the soil.

Growing Seeds

Gardeners use many different methods of testing whether their watermelons are ripe, but knowing the approximate mature size of the melon helps to determine when it is nearing ripeness. One test is to knock on the watermelon with your knuckles, listening for a dull thump rather than a hollow ring.

Another method is to check the underside of the melon where it rests on the ground; the skin should be a rich yellow. Also, the curling tendril closest to the stem of the melon often indicates ripeness when it begins to turn brown. Watermelons usually keep for several weeks in a cool place.
